I presently work at Walmart Supercenter Store in NC and hours are being cut drastically. Many associates are being sent home. I was told this is going on in our market. Is anyone experiencing this? Not sure why this is happening as our store has been making sales.

Al replacements while doing reduced hours.
Actually, sales are good. Target just cut prices to compete with Walmart.
Hours are not being cut across the board. Managers were asked to firm up staffing to reduce unnecessary overtime and provide a more level staffing model at stores. Some markets have a bigger problem than others. But generally speaking, there’s more focus on being staffed properly to support shopping trends.
Customers are just buying generic grocery brands due to the price gouging. Nothing but necessary food can be purchased until economy gets better. A possible War looms. So that only leaves the ultra rich customers which shop elsewhere mostly. It is bound to cause hour cuts/layoffs at some point. Line up a back up plan.
Old trick...cut the hours so people will quit and move on. Company then will not have to pay unemployment for layoffs. Budget is met and Top folks get a $$ bonus$$.
Bidenomics baby!!!! 81 million votes! This is whatcha get!
Unfortunately, all retailers cut hours for part-timers. Does anyone know of any non retail jobs at other companies, that hire part-time office workers without cutting hours? That give a steady schedule?
