Going off the posts a few weeks ago, if anyone was laid off and had time remaining on their tuition obligation did HR mention this at all during the meeting ?

Dang…another post here made me optimistic I could just quit and they couldn’t come after me. 5 months left of this bullsh-t before my tuition period comes to an end
if you are laid off your tuition is forgiven i.e. you do not owe anything. i was laid off with 6 months left in my tuition obligation, in my exit/layoff chat with HR/some random manager they explicitly stated that i was not responsible for the remainder of my tuition and provided a number of the amount (tbh the number seemed waaaaaaay hire than what it should have been but at least i wasnt responsible for it!) if you find yourself in the layoff chair (which, is a relief but also uncertain/scary so i am sorry!) i'd confirm
Yes, they mentioned the dollar amount that was being forgiven, but not the time left that you owed.
I meant like did HR specifically mention that tuiton was forgiven or did they just say something broad about now owing the company anything ?
Everyone I know who had tuition still owed but was laid off had their debt cancelled in addition to normal severance
