Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Anyone actually happy to work here? lol

Sounds like everyone here is disgruntled or an H1B desi from some consultancy group

"This is the wrong board to be asking about happiness."

Uhh...yeah...don't come on here asking about happiness as it relates to the job. You'll get nothing but projectile vomit.

Nobody is happy at Ford because Jim Fartley is such a flaming 🔥 a$$hole. He and Billy made so damn many fatal business decisions or mistakes during the past 5 years. Every CEO choice was wrong and directional opposite of Toyota. Now the company sealed its fate just like a 💩the toilet bowl 🚽. The public is flushing Ford EV’s and Wokeism down the drain.

For engineers. If you don't like to be micro managed, then Ford is not the place to work. If you don't like to br asked everyday what you worked on, where you spent your hour, minute, etc ... on... then don't join Ford

I am content with my work. What I am frustrated about is with the new entities that Ford created. Those departments keep asking me what my processes are. The frustrating part is the fact that the newbies were hired in at the same grade as myself. It took me 20+ years to get where I'm at. I really feel used and abused.

I'm happy with what I do. I'm not happy with the way we're treated, as if we're worth nothing in the grand scheme of things. I'm not happy with the lack of communication. I'm not happy with constant "transformation" meetings with a bunch of gibberish and nothing ever changing, except the LL4 and up swapping positions. I'm not happy with being told things and them never coming to fruition. I'm not happy with how there is no option to progress in my position. I just like what I do and am happy with that for now.

Define "Happy". If you have good health, can pay your bills and have some friends, you're pretty much there as far as the human condition goes! Now if you want to be a rock star at work, that's more of a state of mind. Ohmmmm at 417 Hz baby.
