He will stand idly by and let you be thrown under the bus without coming to your aid. Worse with women.

You can have ongoing extenuating circumstances if you have the accent otherwise keep your head down.

They are perfectly situated in the Wild West where the patriarchy rules. The accent whether brown or pasty is the most protective attribute for the Micron men.

"This unmistakably indicates age bias, yet they disregard it."

Partially correct. Try RACE, GENDER, and age were used.
The decisions of whom to layoff were made in secret at level 4 and above
to reduce the number of people involved with in how the decisions were made.
It is not a secret that Micron is starting to look like little India
with Blackrock as a major investor.

"The overall market is falling, not just Micron."
We are printing an extra 1 trillion dollars now every 100 days
to keep these failing companies and corrupt government alive.
This is not sustainable. The debt has grown from
5 trillion in 2000
to
35 trillion in 2024.
There will be consequences for this.

The overall market is falling, not just Micron.

As Anonymous stated:

"Micron uses layoffs as a means to fire groups. Micron has self insured medical insurance so as employees age this cost goes up to retain these employees. Easier to use the constant layoffs to reduce this cost."

Absolutely accurate. Simply request to review the disclosures related to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. The one I observed for a VP based in Boise showed that all laid-off employees in the US were within the age-protected category, aged 40 or older. This unmistakably indicates age bias, yet they disregard it. Despite mandatory anti-discrimination training each year, during layoffs, they flout company policy, violate the law, and incentivize affected individuals not to lodge complaints by offering severance agreements that require waiving the right to sue for age discrimination.

Dude, India has a caste system.
They invented discrimination long before the US even existed,
unfortunately they could not invent much else.

"Is the great engineering and science worth the human toll of racism, nepotism, s-xism, et. Al? Is marginalizing employees really what makes a company successful?"

so doing great science is racist - that explains a lot
let me know how it goes when you can't feed your family because you don't know how to farm

please explain the lack of diversity in other countries like india and china, it appears they may have a racist problem

lastly, I am more interested in diversity of WEALTH

  • what is the range of salaries at micron of those who produce a chip and those who do not, please include the majority shareholders who do no work but appear to collect a lot (making Micron look like a tech plantation)

Well the unspoken message is if you make the cut don’t eat donuts thereafter because you could cost them money with the insurance

There is another fat shamer boss there with the accent who is lazy. Crazy what they can get away saying with the accent. Not DEI.

I had a micron manager (John P). We were interviewing a candidate and passed all of us as a hire. When our manager met with the candidate he quickly exited the interview and told us to exit this person because he doesn't hire fat people because they are lazy. Be carful of Microns managers.

It they have the accent, they probably won’t get laid off.

The accent makes the worst of times sound okay even when the reality hurts.

"I wonder if and how they can deal with the nepotism and diversify."

I know right. Diversity makes chips not physics.

Doesn't matter anyway. The US is bankrupt and
the corporations are rotting from within.
There is no way we can keep all our obligations.
Something big is going to happen soon.

I wonder if and how they can deal with the nepotism and diversify. It seems like the good ol’ boy network is limiting talents of others who don’t look and/or talk like them.

micron is not a well run and sound company and has gotten much worse
in part due to the reasons that you mentioned
BUT
the US economy/finance is the middle of a storm due to corruption and propaganda
and all the "boats" are rocking
