Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

SMG Layoffs and Offshoring

SMG leadership keeps the org in a constant state of turmoil. By design? Who knows. Just look at revenue and you can see the SMG strategy isn’t working. Intel is in a state of throwing spaghetti at the wall and nothing is sticking.

It’s been made clear that layoffs in SMG are no longer a point-in-time activity but rather an ongoing strategy to reduce headcount costs. Also, there will be jobs moving to India later this year to reduce headcount costs.

Another example of Intel never learning from its past experiences. Intel has used the strategy of offloading work to India numerous times over the past 20+ years and it has never worked well. It goes right along with the philosophy that the cheapest head count with the least experience makes for the best employees.
