Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Has anyone heard anything about the Optum/Landmark Social Work Manager role?

Just wondering if anyone has a heads up? Will the role be eliminated ? Social Work Managers be demoted?

Not sure of this role, but Optum is demoting Managers and Directors across the organization to IC Role. Flattening the organization.

The first problem is that I knew layoffs were coming and I could not imagine they were as bad as they were. So I can look at the information I have and try to make a guess- but who knows what they are thinking.
SWM was put under HSM in an awkward location in the new org chart. It doesn't seem realistic that the job is intended to stay there being "managed" by a HSM who is in the same pay grade. I think you have to make some personal evaluations.
1- in Sparq review the severance package and compare your paygrade with years of service. Is it worth staying a few more months to be laid off with that in mind?
2- Is your current position worth the stress/anxiety/grief the lay off cycle is posing?
3- do you have other opportunities you are passing up by staying?
4- How can you leverage the other SWM's to build a network to help soften the blow if the lay off does happen?
5- Can you work in your current role and still take your lunches/breaks and log off at the end of the day? Is working from home for a little longer worth it?
6- Are you experiencing the career growth you want? Are you okay being "managed" by the HSM in your market?

This page has been helpful and not helpful. I have at times refreshed this page endlessly. In the end it did not prepare me for the loss of HSD's. I would give my job a 90% chance of being laid off in Q3 if they wait that long.
