Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Not surprising to hear of more layoffs!

After opening pharmacy fulfillment operations in LV and working there for 5 years, this sh---y company motivated me to change careers (after another 7 years in pharmacy prior). A year after I left they shut the doors. I’ve been gone for 5 years but still know people that work there (my wife) and it’s as sh---y as ever. Run while you can, you’re just another number.

Definitely wasn’t fired, and definitely not bitter lol. You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. I’ve seen things within that company that’ll drive anyone with a right mind to leave. Leaving was the best decision of my life. Make way more money now than I could have ever there, even being the highest paid at my position at the time. I’m actually grateful for the experience I had there because I went from the worst job I’ve had there to the best I’ve ever had. As for my wife, she still has a somewhat of a good thing going where she’s at, but as you can see it’s only a matter of time.

Sounds like you were fired, didn’t leave. You sound bitter. Why does your wife work there if you hate it so much?

Oh, and don’t bother trying to unionize, they’ll find a way to shut down your building. One of the things I was told by upper management as I had to inform them if the hourly folks started organizing.
