Well they finally made the announcement, and not just an announcement to say they have announcement coming.
The site GM finally laid out a timeline for when layoffs will be taking place. It's going to be rough summer for the folks in Canada. They want to have people "off-boarded" by end of August.

Will only affect individuals that support the site. New GM has a hard-on for people being on-site. Site is moving to 3 days onsite per week. So unless a TAO, people are expected to be onsite, not in the Calgary office or at LNG if supporting them. If you work for Scotford you have to be on site.
But the move to site might be delayed with the pending action from company/union negotiations.
Will this impact the SCT facility, or Canada (Calgary) as well?
SVS, was one of the many acronyms thrown around during the announcement. Also talk of bring some TAO positions back to site as they aren't working out. You don't say.....having someone across the world working different hours, doesn't help support a plant that is 24/7 365?
Anglo Dutch. Arguably more Anglo than Dutch these days being London based.
It is a Dutch company
SCT is the Scotford plant in Alberta, Canada
did they offer volunteer packages?
What is SCT? Why would Canadian ex-pats be targeted here? There are so many Dutch deadbeats all over the globe that are useless!
I don't feel sorry for ex-pats. Why shouldn't they be repatriated and participate in the MORs? Should ex-pats be exempt from the distress that the rest of us are?
What really su-ks is the repatriation of LNN Canadians from US/UK, only to throw them into MOR/layoffs. Not from Canada but it still ****es me off
