@7zki+1s6xnOZt agree with you totally on this. The strategy since Feb 2020 has been dire. The Annual General Meeting in Berkshire UK is tomorrow. I bet it's all 'vanilla icecream' answers that are given. The institutional investors and shareholders, as well as employees, have concerns about how this company has ended up where it is. BL' entire leadership team should have been shown the door.

What we as employees need to think about is this reorg is the result of a horrifically poorly thought out and expensive strategy. As we have made several blunders including that offshore wind farm near NYC and Mauritania and Senegal they have to reduce costs which means employees are a burden on the balance sheet and therefore have to be right-sized. We should be more vocal with the poor performance of our executives and say that we expect better strategy from them. Not just outsourcing via TSI.

Of course they are complicit!

Our noble leaders expect to speak up and act, but their lack of action speaks volumes! Their psychologically safe “closed shop” continues, whilst the rest of us undertake yet another 6months of uncertainty!

I can't help but think that the institutional investors, the BP pensioners, the BP employees deserve to know what BL got away with throughout his lengthy career with BP. But, they are not going to tell anyone, are they because they were complicit.

@2ezc+1s6xnOZt A couple of days after BL resigned, a contributor on here said that after the investigation, GC, LAR, and Ann Davies should be going. LAR is indeed going. The comment is still on this site, if you go back to that point in September.

Agree RE ‘technology’. They got a bunch of people in from tech companies who couldn’t tell the difference between a FPSO and a PLET. There are 100s of them who sit around looking at ppts with nothing to do! And by the way our digital ‘design’ team is now bigger than googles. It’s a complete mess and the problems stem from the SVPs and VPs

The new EVP for Technology will have a full intray. Leigh Ann turned digital into a place which lacks oil industry experience, has mass inefficiencies and escalating costs

Every time a lazy legacy bp person leaves the better off the company is. There is a new breed coming in that refuse to put up with your lazy working retirement ways. We have been run by the se-----y distracted, managed by the morally wounded and staffed by the socialist retired while working class for decades. The more 20 year + we can get rid of the better. Most of you complaining here ARE THE PROBLEM, you are rancid and vile. Cash in and leave, we will be better without each other and those left will definitely be better without your rumors and complaining.

I would imagine LAR went for the CEO role and didn't get it. Quite normal for executives that didn't make the cut to pursue new opportunities. It will be easier to get that CEO position at a "smaller" company

Absolutely the right move. I kind of like Murray, increasing oil & gas production, pulling out from nonsense business, laying off people in those cash burning department...

Well, it certainly looks like layoffs are coming. The language is very clear ("we need to be looking constantly for the next wave of efficiencies").

Does not look to be as significant as reinvent, though.
