UnitedHealth Requiring People Managers to Attend Labor Relations Call

UnitedHealth Associate Director of Employee Relations Bianca Gray is leading calls with people managers, beginning today, April 18.

Bianca sharing on the call, “We respect our employees’ rights to organize, but we don’t think it’s necessary.”

Unionization is needed here, everyone. We are seeing hundreds of people laid off regularly, including today, April 18.

The company doesn’t think organization is necessary because they don’t want us to push back.

Ya'll just need to walk out the door en-masse. No seriously, move whatever you have in 401k's and the like elsewhere then drop the place like a hot rock. Andy's about to get called into the whole clot shot debacle he participated in with the WHO.

Optum employee here. It’s an absolute clusterfu-k, trust me. We have people over here, self included, doing the jobs of 2-3 people each. We’ve lost 6 people since August, and we were already running bare bones. Place is a disaster. If anyone is reading this with an eye toward coming onboard with this company, run far away if you have any other options. Definitely don’t give up an existing job for this place. You are better off anywhere else.

Optum Health implemented 25% workforce reduction effective 5/2/24. Mostly lower salary grade employees. Business demand clearly trending down. A drag on UNH stock price. Inside info their middle management is poorly equipped to function and employee moral very low.

They don’t need to unionize. They just need to stop promoting networking and hire people who can actually do the job rather than promoting their inept friends and favorite a-s kissers. Getting rid of their toxic leaders would also help them. Laying off a good workforce helps nothing in the long run. It just leaves you with a bigger sh-t show and helps run your company into the ground faster.

ha you think the speed of offshoring is bad now it will got to warp drive if id--ts pursue union nonsense. if you on the low end of the seniority pile you get all the cr-p and first to co in that nonsense a good way to retain dead weight

All of workers compensation got laid off- they gave us a 41 day notice. Colorado law says it’s a 60 day notice. The tool who laid us off, also got laid off today. Lol. Bittersweet! They are trying to give me my severance in 4-5 weeks. They bought our previous company and drove it into the ground.

I am not saying what anyone should or should not do because this whole mess still irks me beyond belief as part of the 4/5 effective layoffs.

However, for those of you interested in actually receiving your severance package, please be cautious of who you speak to and what you communicate because that cr-p spreads like wildfire. There is a clause that indicates a condition that you may "not disparage UHG/UHC" or your offer can be rescinded, lmfao. There is also a clause that you may not bring any legal suits against them, or again, your severance is revoked.

Sooo, please just be cautious so that you don't end up sc--wing yourself over . . . And helping them save even more money in the process. :\
