Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

How is this ...more news for your great Walgreens company......

The National Pharmacists Association-LIUNA (NPhA-LIUNA), representing nearly 900 Walgreens pharmacists in Chicagoland, will begin demonstrating at 46 Walgreens stores throughout the Chicago area starting Thursday.

The aim is to advocate for improved pay and working conditions for Walgreens pharmacists.

Pharmacists have been working for nine months without a contract, and despite inflation increasing costs by 25 percent over the past seven years, the NPhA-LIUNA says Walgreens pharmacists have only received a two percent wage increment during that period.

We always seem to be able to print more inflation money when it comes to endless foreign wars.

God bless these pharmacists. Whether you know it or not they are fighting not only for ALL pharmacists (union and non-union) but also for the ENTIRE profession of pharmacy. I would like to thank each and every one of them for their willingness to stand up and take action.
