Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Hypocrites as leaders

"Our strategy is working" CEO and other executives are nothing but dishonest excuse for human beings. These are the jokers and shareholders who decide to sell the company and their stocks and then show up at work without an ounce of shame.

The people I pity the most are the mid and/or first level managers. These miserable people can see the core hypocrisy from their management but relay the communication to their directs in a way that doesn't affect the "team morale".

The people I don't pity at all are those who continue to defend the management decisions without realising the paradoxical nature of statements like "we're winning" when the company is being sold out without the ability to survive.

After 20 years with this company, I experienced mostly good things (excellent pay, big bonuses, good people to work with), but I was let go back in September for no good reason that my manager was able (or capable) of explaining to me. For instance, we had a weekly "one-on-one" meeting and not once did he bring anything up in an adverse way throughout that entire YEAR, but on September 3rd, he actually said, "after a year - (a YEAR!) - of 'poor performance' " he had to let me go. He couldn't bring up a single specific issue. He was extremely nervous during this PHONE CALL, and though I wanted to know what I could have done to precipitate my lay off, he simply said, "there were some things". It was obvious to me that he was put up to it - I always got along great with this guy and he always gave me huge bonuses, even after I was laid off for 4 months when I surprisingly got a nice bonus in the mail. All I'm trying to say is that this company is not what it appears to be, so beware.

Don't insult clowns. They work hard to put a smile on people's faces. They earn their keep. Our so called leaders are l-wlifes. These sc-m will parrot all the business as usual nonsense and expect the fools to believe it.

It is a joke. 30% will lose their jobs before the year is out and the c sweet will make sweet sweet cash

Some of these clowns keep parroting onward and upward. Their roles will be the first ones eliminated. What's wrong with these people? Re--rded.

“Business as usual” translates to keep the company afloat until the acquisition occurs so I can cash my stock out for maximum value!

From what I see and hear, nobody believes that it is "business as usual". Literally each function is working around in few aspects due the impact of this acquisition announcement.

Like Juniper's corporate value, "business as usual" is just another catch phrase that this clown of a management uses during town halls and emails.
