Thread regarding SAP layoffs

CoE Ireland

Got a meeting invite from TW with the subject “Short Business Update”. Anyone any ideas what it can be about? Required mentions All of CoE Ireland.

What is "RSD" team?

One thing I won't miss about SAP is the stupid number of acronyms that nobody ever explains the meaning of. I don't think I have been to a meeting in my entire 5 years where someone hasn't mentioned a new acronym

It's not the email you would get if you were being made redundant. The title would include reference to P24, and would be marked private and confidential, it would also mention HR being present.

OP here. Call just concluded. Was basically to inform that notifications regarding CoE Ireland layoffs are now over. Didn’t mention anything about which teams are impacted and what. Only info I have is from the comment below that it’s apparently the RSD team.

it's to inform you all in COE Dublin that the whole RSD team has been given the boot. 25 people

I would find it strange if the meeting is anything to do with the layoff , it would be strange if one lob does a solo run on comms in Ireland

CoE Ireland is 550+ people. Impact in Ireland is confirmed to be 124. Unlikely that all of the team is gone.

Potentially you’re all gone. Or your boss is gone. Maybe an invite to a VR pool also.

Unfortunately unlikely to be good news.

Don't want to be givin bad news ... but it's usualy how they inform you that your position is made redudant and that you need to look for another role internaly. Check if your manager doesn't have a second meeting at the same time (it's the blocker with HR).

Seems a bad time to send a very poorly phrased mail to employees
