Yes, people who are not laid off might technically be in a better position, but that won't last for long. Those left behind will have to pick up all the work previously done by those who were let go. It will be expected, with no rise in pay offered. To add to that, we all know this is far from the last round, so the stress that follows layoffs will not disappear. It might just lower in intensity, for a while. Other than the C-suite, everybody loses.

I know for a fact the work of those being laid off IS being tricked down to those whom are staying, and they do not have a choice in the matter.
Will not be picking up more work because they decided someone needed to go. If that position is eliminated then SAP can just not get what that person worked on. Just saw a hard working person get laid off while their counterpart who barely does any work get to stay. So no, I won’t be picking their work. It just won’t get done.
SAP has over 106,000 employees, some of these employees do less than 4 hours of work a day (I could name a few) this is very different when a smaller company having layoffs they certainly have the resources to cover the layoffs. Still awful news.
Well said!! Yes there is another 25% or around 2000 more position to be eliminated all the way through Q1 25. IMO, this is far worse than p23
