Who's the bigger crook and mo--n, David Dixon or Looney?
@Bernardfanboy Excellent post. I think it probably sums up the real reason the board got rid of BL. Money pi---d up the wall to buy white elephants. I remember the time he went on about how many cups of coffee BP sells. Who cares? I wonder how many years it will take for the company to recover from his mess. The worrying thing is that MA was part of the decision making processes.
It wasn't long ago that BL announced a partnership with Hertz go install EV charging at their rental sites. Shortly after, Hertz realized that US customers don't want electric vehicles. People renting Tesla vehicles weren't familiar with them and had many accidents which were expensive to fix and long wait for parts. Elon Musk lowered the price of Tesla's so the Hertz fleet experienced massive depreciation losses. I don't understand how bp's executives, McKinsey consultants, MBA's lack the foresight to see the outcome. This also includes offshore wind, partnering with communities to de-carbon. Next to go is biodiesel and Archea. Think about how much money the company has pi$$3ed away since re-invent.
Whose great idea was it to install a load of charging stations at Westlake? They’re in the middle of nowhere - really can’t see these getting much use.
The EV charging group hasn’t gone more than 12 months without a re-org since we bought chargemaster in 2018
A good move for the company, isn't it?
Yep, you can't try to force this ev and green cr-p on the gen pop and expect them to just say "ok, sure no problem".
