While I am all for the spirit of salary transparency. I am a former aka legacy director. Currently holding the role of Admissions Manager II, but to reiterate I 2019 I was promoted to director. I make 135-165k.
How many exec ACs are there?
Exec AC -129k
Any one here worked part-time? How much were you getting paid? I'm paid 17 and I'm getting the feeling I'm being underpaid
Operations analyst 80k
operations specialist, in the US, haven't even broke $59k and I've been here 3 years... my bonus was less than $200
@6znt+1s4Tb0Qx this made me laugh because it's so true. Pretty sure there's been a 90% decline in productivity just because the constant whiplash. It's so bad that's it's just laughable at this point
Senior AC been here 5 years, $63k after the raise, $59k before.
Wow the discrepancy across the board is crazy. I shouldn’t be surprised though. I’m a marketing manager, been here a year and change and make $91k. This is the most bat sh-t crazy company I’ve ever worked for. I’ve never seen a company this large that is this much of a hot mess. Literal wtf every day from the moment I was hired.
Diversity outreach/recruitment:
$162k pre-tax
$119k PM tech
$190k tech
Sr Manager, SE 6 years. 91,000 with 15% bonus.
Hired in 2019, SE - $160k.
Sr. Manager with 7 years at 2u: 105,000 + 15% bonus (in theory)
Principal AC, been around for 10 years. I make 100k a year pre-tax.
Director 125000-140000
I'll give a range because it's a lot easier to target at my level. Sr director 210-250k
Before being laid off, I was a Senior AC making $68k pre tax. I had been with 2U over 4yrs.
Senior SSA $69,000
A Slack channel has been created to discuss compensation: #social-compensation
That channel has links to a "pseudo-anonymous" survey and a spreadsheet with the results.
Post ID: @ari+1s4Tb0Qx For the record an on campus admissions counselor would not do have the responsibilities and have to dial 100 plus calls a day chasing after students to enroll. This job is a sales job and we should get paid accordingly.
PSII and around 3 years at 2U. $61,000 with 5% bonus eligibility
For the last time 2U: pay the South Africans a living wage
Can’t PIP me for saying it this time!
Hahahah
Less concerned about wanting a “considerable raise” and more concerned with the pay discrepancies among peers in the same role.
OP here. I came over from admissions as an SSA II at the time and was making more than the Senior SSA on my team. This person had to go fight and advocate for themselves to get a bump and still made slightly less than me despite having a higher title.
I also agree with the other comment stating true transparency involves sharing ethnicity in addition to salary. I am a white woman. My colleague who had to fight to get still less than me was a black woman.
AC II making ~71k before taxes
I would love to see the overlap between people wanting a considerable raise while also complaining about the cost of higher education tuition in their social justice woke circles.
On campus positions in my area do pay more than what we’re paid here. My job responsibilities as a Sr AC are equivalent to an assistant director of admissions position at most universities, of which the starting pay is around 80-90k. The only reason I’m still here is that these openings will either come and go very quickly because they’re hiring internally, or the interview process will stall for many months.
Sales. $120K pretax.
Senior PS at 2U for 5.5 years. I make 70K pretax and 10% bonus eligibility.
Just go look at the pay for on-campus admission and advising jobs… most of you (if you’re making anything above 60k) will be realize how much more you are paid here than you would going into an office on campus. If you want a bigger check look to move out of the higher education sector completely. Perspective has been lost with most of the people left at 2U.
I was at 70k when I was canned. I started at 50K during the early glory days of 2tor. But they manipulated my leads and moved me and have my leads aways so I could dial and they could let me go. This was a decade back. I was a normal Admissions counselor and that's what it was called back then.
True transparency calls for ethnicity and salary.
Absolutlely 100% not true regarding Adam.
We’re all paid under market value without a doubt. Also, why is Adam Drudge still here? People is the least of his concerns. Very scripted and pretentious fellow.
Senior AC. ~73k before taxes. I was ~69k before the recent raise.
Senior PS. 64k pre-tax with small bonuses - came out to about 69k last year.
