i make 75k at US-walgreens and i think i am a decent hire. like not exceeding expectations (because who does?), but like a solid 3.5-4 out of 5. how many 4 out of 5 onshore employees could you hire for a 3 year-contract at 75k for the building repurchase, the villageMD write-off, the multiple CEOs, the inept board members, the never-ending vulture-like consultants (KPMG, EY, TATA and others). could you do more for the stores, for the customer, for the company, for associates with all those pretty-decent workers than all of the above? seems like an obvious answer.
@lda+1s4HZuMo LOL GINGER
Any announcement yet? Crickets down here in the trenches.
Direct quote from Tracy Brown. “ I don’t have a plan.”
This broadcast is brought to you by Neal's Network. You may experience a freeze and buffer about every 12 words. This is normal. Everything is fine.
Could Someone please send updates from the tow hall for us that didn’t get an invite? TY!
So far, no one under Bala has been impacted. Not sure which of Tracey’s teams will be impacted. “This week, we’re meeting with the groups that will undergo changes - including team shifts, consolidation of work and unfortunately in some cases, we will have team member impacts”. Then she goes on about having an on hands meeting at 2:30 with an invitation to follow (but no invites yet).
This company is an absolute dumpster fire. Everyday something comes down different. If you think this company is not on the verge of bankruptcy you are in for a very rude awakening. I will be shocked if that does not get announced in the next month at the rate things are going right now because these people don’t know how to stop the bleeding at this point.
I wish Tracey B would be the one to be fired but it seems like Tim likes her as a bootlicker. Is she the only Roz hire still here?
She said layoffs in her email..if you’re not under Tracey, you’re fine (so far).
Was that for Tracey's team only? Technology team hasn't received anything (yet?).
Asking an honest question. Why the down votes? Everyone know something I don't?
How do you know its layoffs being announced?
Oh gee company is doing poorly could it be because your employees at the support office are pi---d off and sick of this cr-p? Hmmmm you have no money but you buy the building back for $12 million, flying Neil to Amsterdam, putting in more servers at the office- you are hemorrhaging cash on ridiculous things yet you don’t want to take care of your people! Get it thru your thick skulls WE DONT WANT TO BE HERE!!!!! Wake up!
“We’re continuing to see a challenging retail pharmacy environment” hmmmm. I wonder why that could be? Could it be:
A. Artificial inflation due to corporate greed
B. Store and pharmacy staff that are understaffed and overworked with no recourse but to just quit making the problem worse and morale plummet to unknown depths
- Customers that don’t want to and can’t come to Walgreens because of the increasingly awful experience of long wait times and higher Rx prices than most other pharmacies
- All of the above
Walgreens leadership needs to pull their heads out of their as--s and start taking care of and investing in their store employees and actually giving a cr-p about the impact all of that has on the customer experience instead of stupidly ignoring the actual problems and addressing things no one asked for.
