Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Today is D-Day!

Today marks the beginning of the firing squad for North America. My thoughts are with anyone that gets affected by the thousands of cuts in the following days and weeks.

I know it's easy to say considering mortgage, payments, putting food on the table, but I still want to wish you the best of luck and I hope things workout for all you.

There are other opportunities out there, and we have to move on. Some of the darkest moments lead to the best opportunities and as from many of my ex-workers, life exists outside SAP.

Ave IT. morituri te salutant!

From some one who was laid off in 2019. My team in California was eliminated. Given the manager wasn't the brightest kn--e in the drawer. The entire team was just let go. Doesn't matter if you were stellar tech ninja, had customers eating out of your palm. IT was just an announcement in the room to everyone in 1 message.

I have moved on and in a better position now.Our lives will recover in due time. It just leaves me with a life lesson that no company, no company will ever dictate my life and no company will deserve my undying loyalty
