Abandon ship!

And that's speaking as someone who had positive views on the company!

@nufe+1s1tHHJC CTO/engineering employee split by BU would be interesting.

That split by org doesn't really indicate how many people are working on what. Our team report in to the CTO line but are working on a MCS project.
Most of engineering will be pooled under the CTO line, with VN carved out separately by the looks of it.

You could say the same for Finance

@jdkc+1s1tHHJC There aren't many facilities left for Facilities to facilitate!

That's still an HR ratio of 2+ even if you take out facilities. The vast majority of revenue is being secured by 270 people. ffs

Don’t even get me started on the waste of space that is facilities .

Not that i could ever have imagined myself jumping to defense of HR, but if you are going to present numbers at least do it right. HR includes Facilities which makes up more than have of the team.

@jnjs+1s1tHHJC www.aihr.com/blog/hr-to-employee-ratio suggests a HR to employee ratio of 1.11 (for companies 1000-2500 employees). Our ratio of 4.3 seems a little HR heavy!

https://www.growcfo.net/2022/11/16/how-big-should-your-finance-team-be-as-you-grow/ suggests more than 50 employees is high for a Finance team in a company with 1000+ employees and $1b+ revenue. Maybe 110 is too many too.

That CTO org. looks huge though!

Approximately 150 people work on the Sky re-e. 10 people in HR waste time pushing woke c r a p . What does the other 1740 people do to pass time? As they don’t make the company money

I do wonder if they would address the savings they need if they offered voluntary LR?

@gcxj+1s1tHHJC and @frpg+1s1tHHJC It is such a shame you both feel this way. I do understand though. I feel exactly the same!

I get the feeling there is a significant minority of the company (US, UK/EU and IL based workers) like this too, most quietly.

Couldn’t agree more, when they pay me off I will depart. After 22years, I’m happy biding my time contributing f-all. No one has noticed in the last 5 years!

Why would I want to “abandon ship” ? Far better to work the minimum to keep my job, until the inevitable redundancy comes. This is my small pay-back for their mismanagement of the company. They will reap what they sow.

There are a lot of people who would love to know what "Abandon ship!" means, coming from someone who had positive views on the company. Instead of simply yelling "fire!" in a crowded theatre, why not explain what you mean in detail? You are amongst friends. The employees of this great company deserve to know what's happening behind the scenes. Please share more information!
