No public announcement, but another 3 cubicles had the name plates removed around me. And 2 more email's added to the chain from Ireland and Poland. So, the writing is on the wall: American's be gone.
Yes - close to 200 this month. Next round week of 5/10/24. And every other month until eoy. See a pattern yet? 11/10, 11/10, 3/13….
In my group only commonality was high salary for titles- 6 highest paid were cut and no announcements about it.
Confirmed layoffs at ssga yesterday. followed today by scary emails from line managers basically saying, now work harder or upper management says they wont address the staffing issues they've created. A classic mckinsey/pwc move.
Lay me off. Give my job to China.
Are they offered any severance ? I just got to hear the same about a friend and wondering if she will expect severance.
Yes, 1 in my direct team and a friend in a completely different unit also lost someone. Maybe a coincidence but I don’t think so. Seems to be scattered and small.
