AJ a freak!!! He su-ked my D!!!!!!
ADP is heavily depending on external advice.
- Hiring entities like McKinsey and following their suggestions, not giving value to its own employees.
- There are bad investments made in certain products that are too big to fail and the people in those products are given unfair advantage and importance who are forcing their failed ideas on the rest of the company and taking over the rest.
- People are being let go and pressure is mounting on those that are remaining in the company.
- WIT is giving undue advantage to ineligible women and suppressing eligible men.
ADP has unfortunately transformed into a company with a toxic culture. They have completely lost sight of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), using it as a negative data point for layoffs, specifically targeting the older majority population.
Favoritism is rampant, and the executive leaders, along with an incompetent HR leadership team, are oblivious to the issues. The main reason is that the leaders in these roles have been there forever and have no vision for evolving with the future. Additionally, the HR leadership team has become mere talking heads, focusing only on who can achieve the highest number of layoffs and creating ridiculous project names for these exercises.
ADP is no longer about designing HR for people but about creating useless technology at a premium price. They have lost sight of their original business model and culture.
Despite laying off over 500 employees in GPT and another 200 across other business units, they still celebrated their 75th anniversary and touted themselves as “dividend kings,” which is completely tone-deaf, especially as they justify the workforce reduction to cut headcount and expenses. Meanwhile, in Norfolk, they hosted a silent disco celebration while associates were losing their jobs. So much for cutting expenses.
Another example - ADP is the diamond sponsor for a massive conference called SHRM and refuses to send their field HRBPs. Instead it’s a popularity contest and they send their favorites. A missed opportunity for development for valued talent in the field.
For those still at ADP, get out while you can. This year’s reward cycle is going to be disappointing, and you are better off finding another opportunity than constantly worrying about job security. No business unit is safe—run.
Yes, layoffs happen, but the company has a responsibility to manage them responsibly. Instead, they allow incompetent leaders to continue leading and getting promoted while individual contributors bear the brunt.
Wife got laid off yesterday. She's in small business. Not the deal desk, but sort of a step before the deal, I'm not sure of the position. She receives paperwork from the sales people and makes sure its not missing anything, then it goes to the deal desk. It's her understanding everyone with her job title was eliminated and it's been moved and consolidated to India. The sales people that know about it are freaking out.
Hubby got laid off yesterday. 30+ years with ADP. He’s not lazy… he works hard and has always wanted what’s best for the company… unlike current management who are just out for themselves. Also he’s an old white guy who is in the minority when all new management is Indian. Reverse discrimination due to DEI. He’s seen it all. Bonuses prioritize DEI above actual skills. This company is going down. He was literally trying to stay there until retirement but has hated it. Hoping good things come from this. But get out now!
What offices are being affected?
Reductions are necessary. By in large the lazy do get it first. Nobody thinks they’re lazy, but guess what, you probably are! Hopefully the ones complaining about ADP are the first to go, you always complained now go see if the grass is greener.
I got laid off HRO HRSS
HRO Date and Analytics/ Bi being impacted today.
It's happening. And the folks that think it only happens to the lazy or useless are clueless about how ADP works.
We can only hope.
Will homeshore be the 1st on the chopping block?
Multiple rounds of layoffs coming in TS
"If the job market is doing so well as the current administration claims... why the layoffs in payment processing and service companies? Things are not what they seem."
Because it is all about profits and shareholders... If they can get rid of someone making a good salary and replace them with a cheaper resource.. then it looks good to the investors. ADP is a large company that does not care about its employees as much as they care about the profits...
Layoffs happen in June of every year. It is all about cooking the books to make it look good for investors as their Fiscal Year ends in June...
And no.. it is not performance based. As ADP migrates to cloud services, there have been a lot of employees laid off and replaced with contractors. There was a time when ADP was your last career for life, and unless you messed up then you had nothing to worry about.. Today it is all about profits. If the product or service you are working on is going out... Instead of training you on the replacement or new product, they will replace you with a cheaper employee that is already trained.
If you were working and doing your job properly then layoffs wouldnt be an issue. Many of you are just plain lazy while many others are stupid. Both deserve to be canned!!
Genesys Migration to cloud and telephone migration to Cisco webex. I am sure layoff is coming up soon within GPT.
Tic tock, tic tock……going to be getting that phone call from HR real soon.
Exactly, if ADP was such a great place to work, you would not have to advertise all the time to get talent. Instead you get su-ked in by other employees like a Anyway pyramid sales so they get their 1000.00 referral fee. Usually, companies that advertise all of the time, churn and burn people. This is a sign of high turnover which means a lousy place to work. If you do lose your job here it is not as devasting as say working at Apple or Google where these are dream jobs while ADP uses birth control measures on your earnings. That they hire somebody people without a degree shows how desperate they need people to keep the crematories burning.
If everyone that hated working here just left to find their American dream, build wealth, retire early and tour Europe just went to another HCM company nobody posting would need to worry about losing their job at ADP, true?
Whatever happens, good luck achieving the American Dream building wealth, retiring early, and traveling Europe with this company. Ok, wage slave get back on your ADP financial treadmill and we will dangle the carrot in front of you and will always be one step ahead of you. Does that sound exciting to you?
You apparently do not know what VERP stands for. Maybe you should be targeted.
There are rumors VERP will target homeshored associates. Is there any validity to that claim?
Thousands and thousands of ADP associates, the chances of it being you are insignificant. They typically stack rack based on many criteria, if you are low then you probably should be let go, time to get a job where you excel everyday not just when it’s fiscal layoff season.
8 upvotes for a question about any updates?
Wow, get a hobby.
OK - it’s now late April - is there an update on the timeframe?
Layoffs while painful to the affected do not necessarily indicate incompetence on a company or necessarily indicate falling behind. This site has always predicted the downfall of ADP and what do you know by many metrics they’re thriving. Working at companies like ADP is not an entitlement. Always keeping oneself prepared for the future has been, is now, and forever will be essential to any person at any company.
The VERP was wildly predicted to be the end, it wasn’t. Yearly pruning has always been a thing at ADP and most other companies.
I suspect the reality of my post will bring downvotes galore.
Never stop making yourself valuable whether it’s with ADP or looking past.
Best wishes and good health to all.
"If the job market is doing so well as the current administration claims... why the layoffs in payment processing and service companies?"
- Corporation-specific incompetence and falling-behind
- Corporate greed looking for the next quarter the next quarter the next quarter
Anything in the HRO?
NY and GA offices.
Any idea which office this will impact?
I’m aware of some in Nationals, specifically benefits service associates. Unsure how many. A handful in Nationals Implementation as well.
If the job market is doing so well as the current administration claims... why the layoffs in payment processing and service companies? Things are not what they seem.
What business unit or units does this impact
What groups is this supposed to impact?
