Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

New RSU

When we joined, there were talks of March 2024 RSU as additional to what we got. But after that, no news and my manager said recently no more. Another manager said there will be email this month.

Executive assistants are not given RSUs. Last I checked, we were also employees, so how can they discriminate?

Letters are delivered by your manager after Mar 15, however, the actual grant doesn’t come until nearly the end of month via an email and you’ll need to accept as others have said.

If you’ve been at the company less than one year when we reach Mar 15 you may not receive a stock refresh.

Not all bands (IC3/IC4/ICN) receive a refresh every year in every department in every division.

If you did not receive a 1 or a 2 in your performance review you WILL NOT receive a refresh.

If you are an employee of a company that was acquired by Broadcom less than 1 year prior to Mar 15 and you receive an initial grant, you will most likely not receive a refresh into your first full year has past AND you meet all the other above criteria.

I know there are a lot of “ifs” in here, but in my 5ish years, this is how my managers have explained it (I’ve worked in 3 dept. under 5 managers), don’t ask.

The acceptance grant letters usually come by mid March, you HAVE to accept it to get your RSU grant. There has been instances in the past the acceptance letter came later in the month.
