Boeing Union IAM, to negotiate a 40% raise in the next contract. Will this generation of workers Strike? A lot of these kids are already saying they would scab because they can’t afford to strike lol

If you are still dependent on Boeing for your livelihood, you are a fool.
I believe the Union went on strike in 2008 & it lasted 8 weeks. The average lost of salary for employees at that time was around $7000. If the union was to authorize a strike for this contract, calculating in inflation, that’s abput $10000 for an 8 week strike also. I won’t blame anyone if they don’t want to strike. $100 can’t buy you sh!t at the grocery store nowadays.
As the old saying goes “You can want in one hand and po-p 💩 in the other then see which one gets full quicker”
How? By going to a non-union company who gives 3% when inflation is 20 - 50%?
They would be wiser to just find another way to make a living.
They should go for 60 and settle for 40 just because of inflation. If you think that is our of touch I don't know what planet you have been living on.
