@1ebe+1rqi1Beh Oh God, please don't make Walgreens into a government agency. After the Veteran's Affairs got caught faking appointment times, that is all we need.

Good! Keeping these open in the past is what has caused some of the issues we have today. I’ve been involved in every single wave of location optimization and I’m glad we’re closing stores that lose money. It’s a hard pill to swallow but Walgreens is a for profit business and needs to act like it or every Walgreens will be closing before too long.

Yeah well patients are who pay this company’s bills and we they go elsewhere those people you mentioned that control the decisions will have to invest elsewhere because they have never worked a day in their life. Pissonya is the reason this company is tanking the way it is and there will be no Hail Mary to save this company and he will bankrupt this company like he did Boots

The corporate propaganda has you think that patients have a say. The following decide the fate of Walgreens: Stefano Pessina, Vanguard, State Street and BlackRock with about 30% of ownership. The board does what they tell it to do and the CEO and his minions do what the board wants. If anyone thinks the cookie crumbles any other way, please share.

If you believe the MFC model works so well then you don’t work in a store that has 80+ scripts that get sent back to you to fill because MFC could not fill them the previous night. MFC does have potential but that is if they are fully staffed and some of the MFCs are struggling with that but keep on preaching about MFC. In some areas MFC does not work for the stores or the patients who is ultimately who will decide Walgreens fate.

Sorry, but Walgreens needs to make up its mind about what it wants to be. If it wants to be a public service, then the government has to pick up the tab. If it wants to be a for profit company, it needs to switch to a predominantly online & MFC model. The math simply doesn't add up to keep almost 9000 stores running and own this much inventory. The fix isn't that complicated, fire Tracy, close 3/4 of the stores, go all in on MFCs and merge with or sell to a PBM. Tim knows this, but keeps going on about how well the stores did during the pandemic.
