I wish I could believe this will be done in four weeks and we'll be able to go back to business as usual, but chances of that are slim to none. A floodgate has been opened and it's going to be really hard to close it, especially with those at the top seeing no need in doing it. I hope beyond hope that I'm wrong about this, but I highly doubt it.

Considering they publicly stated that it continues thru 2026, no it’s not over in 4 weeks.
Citi execs opened pandora’s box. The company will fail or be sold in parts within a couple of years due to bad leadership.
According to what I heard, there are about 8 phases. Phase 4 is in progress. It is not going to be a big bang but a delayed, meticulously planned process.
This post is a bit meandering and not easy to understand, but regardless: it was said months ago that the reorganization is going to go on for two years. Most of it will be done by end of Q1, but def not all.
Its a mixed bag of “go”…..”no go”. Jane paid a fortune, by our standards not by Jane’s, to hire consultants to tell her what to do. She’s testing the waters.
Layoff some….wait to see what the fallout is if any. Layoff some more here and here…wait…rinse, repeat. The number of people to layoff, while dynamically be changing, will be reached over time as Jane figures out if the advice she paid for, for a consulting group to tell her what to do because she does not know, is worth it or not.
