Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

2 weeks notice after AIP payout

I’m putting my two weeks notice in 3/18, so my last day is 4/1. This is mainly for health insurance reasons. If your last day is between the first and 14th day of the month, your insurance benefits are good until the 14th.

For those that have left Truist, do you just schedule a meeting with your manager and let them know you are leaving Truist and putting in your 2 weeks notice? Is that the proper protocol? I guess after you put your notice in you can resign in Workday?

@3grk+1roPnsnY if you do anything important they walk you out/cut access and pay you for the 2 weeks I think still.

You can give a two week notice, that doesn’t mean they have to accept it. They can tell you that today is your last day and have you leave.

If you work to/through the 1st, then I believe that your insurance covers through the 15th.

Just be aware that your one day of pay may not be enough to cover your premiums for that period.

Although you would probably get paid out any accrued vacation then also, so you could be fine.

You cannot cut health insurance mid month. And they have to honor a two week notice.

Be careful about sending the two week notice and relying on April healthcare coverage. A co worker did this last AIP. Management made her last date 5 business days, revoked access.
