Has anyone else checked and seen the WARN notice that 144 more layoffs are coming 03/30/2024? Does anyone have information?

AI is bloated. Some seriously clueless nutjob's over hired in this skill. Walgreens never needed all these tech heavy guys. I really hope leaders who created this mess in the first place are let go in April 2024. Sure as he-l - look at the numbers, Tim will have to trim this extra fat off.

For the layoffs coming in April - is AI team going to be further affected?

the 3/30 layoffs in the WARN report are actually the layoff that were already made in January... the numbers align perfectly. And it works the same with the past layoffs.

Layoffs we saw in May 2023 were in the May 2023 WARN report saying they were happening in July. The November 2023 layoffs were in the November 2023 WARN report saying they were happening in January. And then the January layoff were in the January WARN report saying they were happening in March. Walgreens uses the loophole of "administrative leave" to fudge the dates for this report.

Walgreens employees will get no advanced notice or protections, because Walgreens doesn't use the WARN report for it's intended purpose... to give employees 60 days notice before impacts.

However-- layoffs are certainly coming (confirmed)... they are coming in April, and it's going to be more corporate working teams (definitely not executive leadership)

Actually, yep it is coming. Be ready. For the ones that choose to stay with this titanic company, you are putting yourself through it. Your Walgreens company is not good at all.

These are the old layoffs!! People get on administrative leave for 60 days, they are not being automatically laid off (that would have been illegal without adequate notice). 30/3 is 60 days from the days the layoffs were announced. The same happened with May layoffs
