Seems like they are positioning for the government to kick in and help. This is the corporate ransomware way - government (tax payers) have to step in even when the company has the means to handle themselves but choose to do the minimum.
Richard Pollack sent a letter to DM or letting him know that the emergency fund they UHG provided won’t be enough to keep many afloat. And JD launched an investigation into the layoff of Change workers and found out UHC hasn’t given a warn act notification to anyone since 2010 and that Optum knew when they canned the employees their system did not interface with UHG. What can you expect from management who thought the UR dept was a call center.
