May 28th is the global webcast according to the IDT calendar. I suspect that is when plans will be announced. But, like all of you I am just speculating.
Anyone else hearing June announcement - Jan 1 new org starts?
I know of a few groups that literally do nothing. I’m sure there’s a lot more at shell than our competitors. We need people that contribute not people that sit around. Hiring standards have gone to the sh----r
A lot of people in idt have been coasting and doing no meaningful full work beside keeping themselves busy. Idt is a mess.
Shell’s leadership is uninspiring, ineffective and deeply corrupt. The talk of care and respect for people is baloney
There is no target percentage or timeline in IDT. Less products mean more people with nothing to do then Shell gets rid of the dead weight. They are forcing people out.
People at woodcreek don’t look worried, just look at the gym at 9am.
Seems like all areas are getting hit. Every other day there is a new message on job reductions and job grade changes. The funny part is at the same time, we have SVP leaders attending the Super Bowl, and flying 1st class. How can the leadership even propose cuts when this is allowed? On top of that, they are only trying to save jobs for white women and men. The diversity program and talk are pure BS!
No, the culture at Shell is never about getting it right. It’s about breaking things that aren’t broken, and then taking credit for “fixing the problem.” Or putting up barriers to getting work done, then taking credit for removing those very barriers.
They can only get it right for the time being. Then when another world event happens they blame the failure on that and do it again.
They can say, well it’s the business of oil and gas, but every company out there no matter the industry is doing the same thing.
New guy - rearrange the puzzle pieces, lose a few, issue a stilted management-ese statement on how efficient everything and everyone will be going forward, then collect a fat bonus.
Move on in 24 months, next guy/gal comes in, does the same thing and gets same rewards.
Is there ever such a thing as getting it right the first time?
At least they officially admit it now while also officially admitting nothing.
I feel officially validated while also being officially annoyed.
A bunch of fluff. No details yet 🤷🏼♂️. Standard new executive wanting to make his mark
