Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

RTO

If we just refuse to comply and they fire us, would we be eligible for unemployment? I have been working from home since 2017. My agreement was either 1 or 2 days in the office. I would say they arguably changed our work location involuntarily. Just curious about the legalities of this.

They rarely fight unemployment claims anymore.

I worked with a lady who stopped showing up without notice. Took them a month to officially terminate her. Which to me is amazing. She applied for UI and got them with no resistance. She now works for the state of all places.

My guess is they’d rather not waste the effort and cost fighting it.
