Investigate the relationships between Boeing, FAA, & Government and you will find the answers! Always follow the money!
Looks like it will be a slow Boeing descent to irrelevance and insignificance. But who knows. Another accident could speed things up if FAA and NTSB actually do their job to protect public welfare.
Boeing hasn't made a profit and keeps taking on more debt...but Boeing managers and executives have done very well... Seems like that is the only reason Boeing is still in business...and no one has made them accountable for what they did. So the road goes on forever and the party never ends...until it does.
And many orders from airlines overly pregnant with Boeing airplanes with no other option given the huge Airbus backlog. But the Boeing nepo executives responsible for selling these airplanes at negative profit margin will be long gone with their severance packages before Boeing is broken up and goes into receivership resulting in many of these orders never becoming deliveries.
Is this a joke? Boeing has made money one quarter since the 737 max crashes.
It was Boeing that installed the door plug without the required bolts...NOT Spirit...but if Boeing buys Spirit, Boeing will most certainly destroy any ethics, quality control and safety focus in Spirit too.
Don’t you read the news? A door plug blew out, now Boeing is trying to do damage control by buying back Spirit.
And lost money nearly every quarter since... Only in business to let the executives pocket a much as they can. Everyone else will pay the price for their corrupt and greedy ways.
Follow the money trail:-)
