What if long-time SVPs and VPs throw a tantrum that they are not going to have direct reports cos there are not enough people going around, especially when C15s and above require six or more direct reports?

Lol. A tantrum would not help anything and be a sure route to getting fired. They don't care about anyone's tantrums and would just replace someone with another non-tantrum person.
What bcg lies, it's not all bs. The move away from svp and demotion and IC levels made to force people out will still happen. There is no relaxing of rules implemented by Jane, we can all see that fluff and bs in her last 15 seconds with jane.. nice try hr/legal. 😏
Tantrum such as complaining they no longer have direct reports, can no longer showcase their management ability, and threatening to quit

SVP wil be in tact. Whatever mess BCG group will be undone by next january 8-15% cuts mostly VPs and AVPs
Jane is feeling the heat and has let up and now knows what a huge mess she caused so she is relaxing bcg rules

I heard all current SVP's will remain same but not much hike or growth and eventually let go. Moving forward there won't be any promotion from VP to SVP. Eventually SVP role will be sunset.

To what end? So they’ll get let go and their few reports get consolidated under a different senior?
