Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Somebody really f’d up

I got a two emails saying I was getting a bonus and it is 70% of target. The emails had about 10 or 12 other names of other people who were also getting bonuses. They got the exact same calculation.

Since I can’t stand this company, I’m thinking of posting it. Probably won’t but thinking about it.

So I messaged a couple people that were included in my email. They hadn’t even told her what her bonus was yet. So she found out from a random person on LinkedIn.

Anyone who was laid off, do you see a payment in workday for the bonuses? Usually they post it a few business days before. For the person who did get an email, did how long had you been at the bank? Wondering if that effects anything in terms of who got a bonus.

They should have emailed you since you’re no longer with the company to have the conversation with the manager, but they messed up so bad on the first set of emails…. Maybe they had to stop. I don’t buy the email that states it was isolated to 29 teammates. I had 29 and no one on my list had 600k unlike someone else on this chain who said they did… Fishy!

If we got cut by the reduction in force, are we supposed to find out if we actually get the 2023 bonus via email? Or just check our bank acct on the 12th to see if we got sc--wed again?

This the LAY OFF site, why would they need to email you if you still work there? Have you ever gotten a email before Mr/ Mrs well over a paygrade 110? Use common sense, and do the math, the payout is 70%

Those who received the emails, can you clarify? Are you all teammates who were impacted by the RIF? Severance agreement fine print waived AIP... I’m not holding my breath for anything next week. I was well above a 110. Didn’t get an email.

My bonus email included 10 additional names, one of whom I know. She retired earlier in 2023. I was RIF’d. Blows my mind that this type of mistake can be made - especially since it happened to more than just me.

Paygrades 110 and higher always got an AIP bonus. Per the separation agreements everyone who was laid off and was in a qualifying Paygrades still received the AIP Payout.

For those that got the email, had you gotten a bonus previously at Truist? I wonder if the only folks that are were laid off and getting a bonus are those that were newer to the bank.

We literally can't go a day without a major eff up. So this doesn't surprise me at all. Just look at all the Acadia Alerts coming out -- every. single. day. smh

Major HR violation. Similar to when I found out our group was eliminated a while back-notified by HR email on a Saturday that one of my direct reports had been terminated and I needed to collect his computer and equipment. No previous notification. They subsequently let us know we were all eliminated after I called this email to the attention of our “boss”. Pi-s poor incompetence.

Thanks to the TDLC, Truist SAFe, Enterprise Bug Tracking, and Release Management, the fix should be ready by the end of the year.

Here is the follow up email I received yesterday.

AIP processing error impacting the email you received yesterday

Re: AIP processing error impacting the email you received yesterday

Yesterday you received an email which contained your Annual Incentive Performance (AIP) payment information. Due to a processing error, the AIP statements of 29 other individuals were inadvertently included at the bottom of your email. Please disregard those statements.

The impact of this error is isolated to these 29 teammates; no other teammates were impacted.

We have identified the cause of the error and are working to rectify it. If you have questions, please send an email to ExecutiveCompensation@Truist.com

Thank you.

I wouldn’t share the numbers, but maybe post the names that were erroneously disclosed so that those listed can take action.

Same, mine had 29 names listed. Everyone really should count the number. If everyone had 29, it was probably the same people.

Please don’t, your coworkers don’t deserve their names being dragged all over the internet.
