Remember, Jane feels your pain. She’s suffering just like the rest of us.
Guys, don’t panic, everything is ok as we are a family.
Time to bring in new, younger leadership with new ideas and a fresh perspective. I think Jane has done the best she could given the mentor she had (Corbat) but its time for Citi to write a new chapter, with a new author.
I find it disturbing that Jane does not have the foresight, vision or leadership skills in order to know how to fix things. She has to hire outside consultants for a direction.
One side of the coin is a great sales pitch of being with Citi for x number of years, worked her way up the ladder, did this, did that, great leader yada….yada…..
The other side of the coin money is being shelled out to consultants to tell her what to do.
Well said.
At reading this, one part of me wants to laugh because its true and the other part of me wants to cry.
Hey OP, its nothing personal. When it comes to Jane’s raise or personnel, personnel has gotta go. Later when quality goes down and risk is increased, we can form committees to figure out as to why. Then we’ll conclude that we need to hire more skilled people.
Jane will be hailed a hero for figuring it out and get yet another raise. Its a win win…..not for you that is, but for her….its a win for her.
