Jane, this is totally unacceptable. For laying off a certain team/people why you are causing mental trauma to others ? Atleast announce early that these are Organizations to be affected for next 6m to 1 year so others can work freely till their turn.
you are digging your own Grave unless you are planning to close the citi. Already the news is out in market about your in-efficient approaches.
Atleast, You have to compensate the employees with a break , extra vacations or perks.
You are totally breaking the "Employee Motivation" part.
It is very hard for us to manage people. Retention is going to be Hard for managers.
