These cuts aren't even done properly yet, and I - and I'm sure many others - am already thinking about when the next round will happen and how long will I have before this whole process restarts and I am thrust back into the stressing/worrying/not sleeping mode once again. Sad doesn't even begin to cover it.

The Oil and Gas sector is notorious for their ups and downs. Layoffs are more expected in this field. My advice for remaining workers is to be prepared with the inevitable layoffs. In the mean time, take advantage in what Enbridge offers: training, mentoring, pay, benefits, etc. Most of all, save your money for the rainy days, because they will always come.
There are layoffs in all industries at various times. It would be difficult to completely eliminate the stress.

Guarantee you a tenure for the rest of your working life. Layoffs happen in every industry, there is an element of uncertainty no matter where you work . The idea of getting into a company after college and retiring from there after 40 years ended with the Boomer generation. The world has moved on . Best to keep investing in your skills and keep networking, always. No one is safe forever.
Why do people even normalize the layoffs and stay long with this company? Is the money even worth your sanity, your physical health and your whole well being?
