All the latest sure sounds like majority will be “transition” drones. Where we stay for 18 months with hope of collecting any severance. What if exon transition offer nets from severance the time while on transition? Bad bad deal for employees.

At XTO and nothing. None of these acquisitions have anything to do with benefiting the country nor the average worker. If you’re a person of integrity this is about to be one of the hardest times of your life. If you’re willing to sell out your mom like some of my XTO comrades did and many others have , you’ll be fine.
You can always refuse the severance and find a higher-paying job elsewhere. Your choice. No one is forcing you to do anything.
The best part is, you can leave. The lights will still stay on. And wait until you meet your new XOM manager, oh wait you won’t be able to.
The worst part is my pioneer manager gets to keep doing nothing, while we keep the lights on. Feels great that those “leaders” all gave themselves promotions late last year too.
