Thread regarding Optum layoffs

I'm having trouble finding a new job

Is anybody else in a similar position? It's not that I need a job right now, but with everything that's been going on in the past six months, I've been looking just in case. So far, I've had zero offers. Plenty of interviews, but nothing materialized from them. I've never been as nervous about potential layoffs as I am now due to this.

Do a mock interview and videotape it. You'll be surprised at some of the unintended body language and other corrections needed. I didn't do this right away and should have. Keep doing it until you feel comfortable.

Dunno what your title was or skill set but the automation changes around here the last 8-10 years have caused technical skill atrophy. With all the reorgs, they move your job descriptions and titles so you are no longer doing what you were hired to do and given a useless titles like Infrastructure Engineer! Other companies may be questioning what you have been doing and ruling you out based on doubt, be clear about any changes that impacted you while here. This is just another way this place is toxic, you rarely learn anything other companies value!

Its an election year. Companies are waiting for the results to determine how the game will change.
