I’m writing this post as an information board to see if anyone has a better understanding of the corporate changing I’m hearing about happening in March. Senior leads and the GM/ASM positions getting knocked down, CLUB performance write ups/firing, and product removal so departments won’t require outfitters. These are a few I’ve heard about. If anyone has any other bits of information let us know.

Our store currently has two HRC people two Tracker managers. Two leads in Camping. Terribly bad management and the favoritism is so obvious. Different rules for different people. Surprise visits and talking with the outfitters would be mind blowing.
I worked for Bass Pro Shops for 24 years. It is very disappointing to see how much the atmosphere has changed. So many problems with the company and the individual stores from what I read. Johnny would be shocked if he had any idea what the customers are saying. They better get it together!

the cabelas hater has moved on to this site pretending to be other chatters. I am curious do you think you are fooling anyone. how about getting on with a different of interest what has it been 7 years. Of course the cabelas director may blame you for destroying the city of Sidney but you had no effect on anything. The whole town of Sidney and every employee of cabeals who have read this site know you had no effect on anything.

So they let go of key support positions and have given leads more responsibility without any pay increase. No word from corporate on how pay increases will be handled this year compared to last has a lot on edge about the future. There’s even less opportunity now to move up here too.
Hopefully some store managers will get canned.
