You are just a number. They don't care how hard you work. I have a friend that worked 7 days a week 12 to 16 hr a day all the time. Then canned good luck bnsf...I hope you fail....crooked people...that's why people don't work hard anymore because company don't care.
This is 2 that ji-g that said we laize, an we diserve too looze R jobz. Haha...I love sitting on my azz making 40 to fitty bux an hour. Beeattcchh!!
Yeah, and if you read articles about these furloughs, BNSF calls it Voluntary 🤣🤣🤣🤣. WTF
Are exempts next? They should be. Bonuses just paid out to them and now craft are furloughed.
Does anyone want Chris Smith?
Thats good, most of you are lazy and worthless, im glad you lost your job
Looks like across the system 355 mechanical were cut. 41% were carmen.
Anyone from the Barstow town hall want to report any info?
Belen y’all can have Covey back
They do hire alot of outside college students who become a 29 and don't know anything about the yard and how to manage it. The Union is in house controlled by the conglomerate which dictates the agreement by adding whatever they want that benefits them. They preach we are a family but in reality we are collateral damage when 💩 hits the fan. We are a convenience and an inconvenience. Where are the Union reps in each barn?
BNSF Is about to lose a lot of good workers, don’t like walking on pins and needles at work
Being short staffed doesn’t mean anything, they furloughed in shops that were short staffed. Even with guys working doubles nearly every day and guys working both rest days they still slashed jobs. They don’t look at that all they look at is whatever the magic tablets tell them, which we all know is 100% inaccurate. But these college brats they hired through internships have no clue what is going on out in the field, and when they do go out and visit the yards they don’t even have a clue what they are looking at. The top brass that did come from the ground and work there way up the chain are all gone and retired, and these clueless college kids are what we are stuck with.
No layoffs in California because they are already really short staffed
Since the unions haven't been representing all of us who pay union dues, and we keep getting crapped on, we need to start standing up for ourselves. BNSF has slowly been taking away everything. Our days off being messed with most recently. We need to organize a walk out.

This is absolutely not going to enhance the "safety environment" or the culture BNSF is promoting. The message that Warren is sending is that the shareholders are the only people that matter, despite his mentioning all the hard working craft people out there daily, and often doing the jobs of more than one individual. Have to shift some of the costs for obtaining the oversaturated MRL employees and the recent merger somewhere. It will continue to land on the shoulders of the mid level managers, being pushed into longer hours all for the sake of profits. Despicable....
I just got a message from my local chairman today around 1400

15 Machinists out of Topeka, plus 9 Carmen, 10 Electricians, 27 Pipefitters, and 24 Boilermakers.
Let me clarify in Tulsa.
6 machinists
6 electricians
And 5 carmen.
That’s like half the diesel shop for crafts.
Tulsa was hit as well. 17 total.
