Thread regarding Emerson Electric Co. layoffs

Discrete ACSO is NEVER going to be GE!!

When Emerson purchased the GE facility in 2019 no one saw what was coming...a company continually devolving as it aims to destroy the manufacturing and human spirit! There was a reason that the entire management team retired in December '23. Now, Production managers/supervisors make it their mission to verbally harass and abuse their subordinates while commanding respect. Respect must be shown to be received. The best thing that Discrete/ACSO can do is shut the place down and transition the work elsewhere. Mickey Mouse Corp comes to mind, but don't worry...another layoff or plant closing is inevitable given its current state of business.

Hopefully RK will turn around and give the business back to SYSS where Feet on the Street (Sales Leaders) understood Systems and Solutions. How could a piston and cylinder sales person sell Automation Solutions. Sales is not about millions of SKUs but providing customer value. Leadership team who understood the strategy and grew the business were pushed out by Florham Park Leadership and their lack of knowledge on Systems and Solutions. Definitely the business will continue to lose value on a hourly basis. Good acquisition turned bad with the change to ASCO i.e. Discrete. Are they doing their discrete job of dismantling the company value!!!!!!

Does not suprise me at all. ASCO don't seem to have any clue about discrete business. Same old stuff rinse and repeat. I learned that we are now a software automation company?

Emerson doesn't understand the discrete space. It started when LK pivoted the business under PSS, cut the investments, and then the lack of clear direction that ensued from that point forward. Emerson is all about OP, not growth. ASCO ran off all of the people who understood discrete - just look at Aventics - and all they've ever understood was a widget OEM business that has basically been flat for 10 years. That's why all of the leadership ran away over the past 2 years. It's too bad but at the end of the day, Emerson is a process automation company.

Think about it. In a period of ten months, there have been three layoffs. What more could you ask for? The place is a filty mess.

It appears there may be concerns about innovation at Asco, which could be influenced by communication challenges. @3zvw+1rhfYYyr Improving English grammar could enhance clarity and demonstrate professional competence.

I am not suprised by this. ASCO or discrete or whatever they call themselves now simply do not how to grow. All they do is cut costs, fire valuable employees, move production overseas and outsource. Is there been any innovative new products released since ASCo guys took over? Nope. It ain't going to happen.
