Thread regarding Dish Network layoffs

Dish Q4 Results

Looking from previous years, Dish usually does Q4 results during the 3rd week of February. It has yet to even announce its Q4 results. Could there be a reason for a delay?

So far seems like no layoffs since the Q4 call.

No one seemed to cover the Q4 results on youtube. Why by June? Also, I am not sure if the lay offs due to the merger itself happened yet. Usually companies have layoffs when they merge.

Read the 10k, DISH Wireless is out of money and has no real prospects of securing funding to fund future growth. They are done. They can brag all they want about coverage of America, no one is signing up for service, it’s evident as they lost wireless subs in Q4. If you work at DISH you better we looking for a new job, you won’t have one by June.

Time will tell. We will see what the report shows on Friday. Usually the report day is announced a week before it happens from what I saw with previous years. I was thinking the same thing. Not sure how companies do the call reports when it comes to layoffs. A business lady on youtube said some companies literally mention layoffs will happen on the call itself.

I've been wondering the same thing. My reason was because the layoffs happen right afterwards. This time they did the cuts first. I'm guessing there will still be more cuts after that call.

The Q4 2023 earnings call is now scheduled for March 1st, the delay is likely due to all the outstanding lawsuits and allegations on asset depreciation fraud. It would make sense to prep the leaders for poor performance and all the outstanding issues.
