Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Flexibility

I remember a time not too long ago when Citi boasted about their flexibility. USPB is now required to be off on all holidays, floating or not. This notification had me thinking about how militant things have gotten since Jane came into the picture, today. Everything is becoming so robotic here, it's exhausting.

We read the post. You’re complaining about nothing. So much entitlement.

No, I'm not complaining about having to take time off. It's lack of flexibility that the company has had since she started her train. Maybe read the entire post next time.

During Covid and the era of 'Nice Jane', our ability to work remote was lauded. Our productivity shot upwards they told us, we didn't miss a beat.
We showed ourselves to be smart and adaptable. We were the best worker bees in town.
It was a strength for our recruitment and retention.

Now, in the era of 'Not Nice Jane', remote work is a bad thing. Go figure.
And remember, clamping down on remote work has nothing to do with the need to constructively dismiss people from the org, on the cheap, without needing to pay redundancy settlements.
No, that is not the reason...
