I didn’t hear anything yesterday from my provider. Does this mean I’m safe?

One in logistics and two expeditors I’ve heard are gone.

Nothing here. My third party rep said they anticipated impacted employees would be given notice by EOD today.

Contractor here in projects group and no word yet as of 8:25PM central. I'd be surprised to hear something tonight if I'm one of the chosen ones, just because my agency will not be working after hours to deliver the message to me. Likely we will hear something in the morning. Although I expect that overall, even those of us who are well-paid, are still likely cheaper overall from an administrative burden than many employees. But let's see what happens.

Overall, I'm just really curious to see what comes of this and to find out if Enbridge leadership is actually capable of running projects in a more efficient framework. I'll be shocked if Enbridge actually pares down their current standards and processes to the minimum regulatory/industry requirements. That is a big part of the problem. That and having project teams with too many people. Many projects less than $5MM can be run by one competent project engineer without a development PM, execution PM, project controller, scheduler, contract analyst, or supply chain business partner, as one example.

“Contractors are busy doing our work now. That's why 650+ employees are getting the boot.”

I thought it’s 650 employees plus contractors? I remember the same thing happened back in 2015. The numbers announced in the news the same day of layoff was only the employee headcount, plus some contractors.

Who is confirming it is this evening? Did the email not say the day of layoffs was tomorrow, would it not be tomorrow after hours we hear?
