Does every team have the brown nosers and su-k-ups? This is the part of work that grates at me the most. The manager calls them out on team calls about how wonderful they are. One of them completed a presentation on the importance of teamwork. That was laughable because this particular person I have witnessed them talking all kinds of cr-p about other team mates. All this team-building nonsense this new manager has tried to force on us has just made me dislike the people on the team I thought I used to like. Thank god I like my job and most days can function without speaking to these other employees. I have never had a position where I have disliked the entire team. The new manager is a prime example of fake it till you make it, totally inept at knowing her job. I don't need pats on the head and recognition, so I don't understand those that do. One of them told me that they like all these side teambuilding activities because it gives them a “break” from work. No, you want them. You don't have to do your job because you are lazy, and no one likes Working with you because you are incompetent, and others have to do your work or wait a ridiculous amount of time for your contributions to a project. And yes, they read these posts, so this is my passive-aggressive message to the su-k-ups.

Women are ridiculous; I'd rather work with a team of men and stop the drama. We have two that live to point out somebody else mistakes. One that thinks she is CEO and can tell everybody else what to do. The one who thinks she is the only one that knows anything. The one that claims she is so overworked and is never online. They are just trying to keep themselves off the chopping block. Because their work is substandard and can't hold water. The joke is on them, managers have no say in the lay off lists. Hopefully they will go along with the manager.
Incompetent middle management loves the extrovert kiss a-s. It's just the way that it is. You'll never have a chance once they latch into their favorite pet and tout them at every damn meeting. "So and so does amazing work and accomplished (insert mo--nic idea here)." Every d-mb idea gets elevated as innovative even though it's been tried before or creates little benefit. Welcome to corporate life.
Be sure to rate your management low when they do it.

The “yes” people, yeah I know a few. The ones that won’t say no to anything, regardless if it’s part of their job description or not. Becuase their only objective is taking these things to boss as trophies to say “look what I did”. Then, the rest of us now have new work added to our plates because these folks can never stay in their lanes. Yeah, I love those folks. In case you can’t tell this post in saturated with sarcasm.
Concur with all the statements in the original post and the posts. Employees have ZERO trust in the "sorority management." Definitely toxic, ineptitude, and fear driven management style, while management has zero experience in EITHER management or the line of work they were put in place with. Layoffs every half year. Personalities and mentality of leaderships are that of a junior high playground with the sorority leadership throwing each other under the bus constantly in large group meetings, yet, they praise each other for practically "doing and knowing nothing." Either join them or be ousted and even then, they're so backstabbing to each other and everyone else, since none of them can see past their own ego's. Period. (no pun intended)
Oh honey…wall-to-wall, packed full, sea to shining sea. My department is like a pack of high-school mean girls who will step over your dead body to present your work to higher ups as if it were their own. Lay me off, lol. They won’t have any stolen work to appropriate. Good luck all.
The company is full of these personalities, it is annoying. Just keep doing your job and let them burn themselves out. Unfortunately, leadership at Optum and UHC love to hire managers and directors who have no business having those roles. My reaction to those is free entertainment, let them hang themselves it will happen sooner or later, and they will mess up big time.
