you've added a zero to those numbers look at job postings in Manilla for Help Desk, the pay is $320-$600 a year

Each country is different. $4000 is 208000 pesos in the Philippines and from what I know, that is HUGE if you compare that to their minimum wage. Cost of living is different in other countries. What may seem low to us is the total opposite in a differ by country if you take cost of living and exchange rate into account.

Another thing you’ve probably not considered is purchasing power parity. A dollar in other countries might go a long way.

@OP, This really sounds low, are you sure you got the numbers right? On the other hand, I’ve never been there so wouldn’t know. Do you happen to know what’s the median salary and cost of living there?
