What are every ones feeling on this service if you use it? I'm not impressed. When I first switched they were sending my meds every two weeks, I have a medicine cabinet with 6 months worth of meds in it. Lately everything is coming late, new scripts it takes about 2 months to actually receive your medications. Most medications are temperature sensitive, these mailboxes in transit for weeks at a time there is no control on the environment they are in it could be 100 degrees of -20. Is it effecting the quality of our medications? I did read that some of the employee health plans was going to require everyone filling scripts through optum rx

When Optum ditched CVS, I started using Mark Cuban CostPlus when CostPlus first started. https://costplusdrugs.com/
Even though CostPlus doesn't take insurance, I continue to use CostPlus. Why? Because the out of pocket expense is cheaper than OptumRx & very reliable for my daily medicine.
Before switching, I did a cost comparison of the mail order options & Walgreens.
You can opt out of home delivery. Legally they actually can't force anyone to use them. Even for multi-month fills. You just have to go online or call and tell them you opt out of OptumRx and can then use the local pharmacy of your choice. They make it sound like you have no other option but it's not true. Keep in mind though fills will be more expensive if you have a deductible/OOP if you don't use them.
We're forced to use this inferior mail order prescription service for maintenance dr-gs and it's a hassle to me, it's a hassle to my care providers, and the quality of my dr-gs suffers because each prescription is filled by whatever generic manufacturer offers it cheapest that month. Often times they mail frangible tablets in large bottles with no cotton protection and medications arrive with tablets in pieces, or heat sensitive medications sit in the mailbox, or the porch, in full sun on one-hundred degree days. Just let me fill my bulk scripts at the local pharmacy.
It is asking opinions in my opinion it is a useless service and they should be the angry disgruntled ex employees. Thank you for your useless reply
This is a LAYOFF RUMOR site. Reserved for angry disgruntled ex-employees to post nonsense. I think you need YELP and/or Optum helpline
