Thread regarding Optum layoffs

RRP question

If my target bonus is 8% and my RRP percent is 75% then I should get an 6% bonus, correct?

The numbers aren't making sense on my annual review report, not sure if there was something else I'm missing. Trying to figure out if I'm getting sc--wed over.

For the grade 29 poster, I think target bonus is 15%, but I could be wrong. So yours would be:

Ex: $100,000 × .15 x .54 (this is the number going around ppl are saying for funding amount, or close to it) x .20 = $1620

RRP = base salary × GL target % x RRP funding % × RRP % you see on your award paper.

Ex: $100,000 × .08 x .54 (this is the number going around ppl are saying for funding amount, or close to it) x .75 = $3240

What does RRP Funding % mean? With detailed example please.

Ex.
Grade 29
RRP Funding % = 20%

You work for optum. Getting sc--wed is part of the job. Did you miss that when hired?

The percentage shown on the comp statement is % of funding. Funding varied by segment of the company as well as salary grade this year. You can back into what your funding was given you know your target %, your funding percentage (shown on your comp statement) and your actual bonus.

Let’s do the math together. We’ll use Brian Thompson (CEO UnitedHealth Care) as an example. These are numbers from the 2023 Proxy Statement.

His base salary is $1,000,000.

His target cash incentive award is 200%, which means he is eligible for a $2 million cash bonus.

His bonus was funded to 92%, which means he got a $1,840,000 bonus.

1,840,000 / 1,000,000 * 100 = 184%

He got a 184% bonus.

This doesn’t include the other $7 million in compensation he got for the year including RSUs, options, Cadillac health plan, etc.

Don’t spend that 6% bonus all in one place, now….
