Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

I'm desperate for this to end

I'm fu--ing tired of having layoffs on my mind 24/7. I'm tired of not being able to relax even on weekends. Even if I'm going to be laid off in the end, I'd rather know right away so I can move on. Being stuck in this limbo for as long as we've been is a hundred times worse.

“Sounds like you’ve given up before even starting”

Does that mean you are making 7 figures already? Coz if not, you’re just dreaming bud. Or you think you can pull this off even if you’re not half reaching the requirements or doesn’t have anything to get to 7 figures LOL

I don’t need to get to 7 figures bcoz even right now all my properties are all fully paid and I have already a nice cushion on retirement funds not even counting Enbridge pension and I still have decades to work.

Are there 7 figure roles in 'state governments' that you can works towards? Believe it or not, some of the 30 year olds walking the office today 'will' work their way to those positions.”

Buddy those 7 figure roles is a pipe dream. You have to be really good and kiss a lot of a** to get there plus you have to have an above average level of narcissism to get up the ladder. Chances are they’ll be a candidate for layoffs before getting into a 7 figure roles. It’s nice to dream but you also have to be realistic.

will be Feb 27 or Feb 29 , more East Canada - get ready , and sorry to see this happening, all the big head's left for a reason they did not want this to happen , also shame on the ceo and puppets who agreed to it, why dont you leave both of you, that would save at least 30 employees .

Sorry for your stress. I don’t work for your company but was in private sector years ago till I went to work in state government now 27 years. More secure, pension, great healthcare, etc, and job security. Recommend looking into it, may have to take a slight pay cut to start but overall it’s better than the private sector. Good luck 🍀!
