If the ELT wanted to prove they care about employees and don't see us as anything but numbers, they could all take a pay cut and - considering how high their compensation packages are - immediately reduce the need for layoffs. Not that something like that would ever happen, of course, since the fact is they do not give a damn about any of us.

Karthik makes $14 million dollars per year. All of the other executives in the C-Suite make 7 figures. And Nielsen IS profitable and growing.
These cuts have absolutely NOTHING to do do with reviving a struggling company because Nielsen is not struggling. It's about maximizing profits so that the Greedy Swine at the top can make even more money.
